Mailout for Subcatchments Complete!!!

Landholders in the priority subcatchments of Baywulla Creek, Auburn River and Cadarga Creek will be receiving their Better Burnett information pack in the mail this week. The information packs included an invitation to Better Burnett’s information sessions coming up at the end of the month and a survey which, when completed, will put landholders in the drawn to win $5000 worth of on ground works on their property. The information sessions which are being held on 29th August at Monogorilby and Narayen and on 30th August at Baywulla, will allow the entire Better Burnett team to explain the incentives on offer to these priority subcatchment landholders for sustainable grazing activities. These activities could include installation of fencing or additional watering points to improve pasture utilisation.

The whole team will be at each of the information sessions to assist landholders with the application forms, so we can get this funding on the ground as soon as possible.  We will also be drawing the winner of the $5000 worth of on ground works at each information session and the winner must be there to collect.

We must acknowledge the support of the shire councils of Mundubbera, Eidsvold, Perry, Wondai, Kolan, Chinchilla and Monto who have assisted in coordinating the mail outs.  Without them contacting this number of landholders would have been very difficult.

The question now is how many people will complete the survey and who will win the $5000 prize at each information session?
