Forest Practice Thinning and Selling Timber from Freehold Native Forests

at Arthur & Val Dingle’s

property ‘Arvale’ north of Mt Perry

on Thursday 13th September 2007

Arthur & Val have integrated grazing and timber production as part of their enterprise over many years

* Rohan Allen (AgForests) will discuss and show what producers can do regarding timber harvesting and forest practice thinning in both coloured (remnant) and white (non-remnant) country, and comply with the Veg Mgt Act & Native Forest Practice Code.

* Ian Moseling (experienced Tordoner & trainer) will demonstrate his ‘wide spacing’ and more efficient timber treatment method.

DIRECTIONS - Lookout for the field day signs

# From Mt Perry head north on the Gin Gin Mt Perry Road for 5 kms and turn right into Drummers Creek Road. Then turn left after 800m into Arvale Road and head to the house.

# From Gin Gin head towards Mt Perry on the Gin Gin Mt Perry Road for 45kms and turn left 200m after Drummers Creek and Dingle bridge into Drummers Creek Road. Then after 800m turn into Arvale Road and head to the house.
